Elder Minutes For 23 January 2012

PRESENT: Doug Joseph, George Cope, Dave Tinker, Jim Norman, Jack Norman, Wray Petry, Wray Petry, Frank St. John
ABSENT: George Joseph,

Pastor Cope shared a brief word from the book of Amos.

Pastor Jack Cain, Associate Pastor J Johnston, Pastor John Krall, Pastor Rick Moore and Debbie Carey joined the Elders to pray for the needs of the church.

The Pastors and Elders discussed the possibility and logistics of doing a musical at Easter, perhaps on Good Friday.

The pastors exited and Debbie Carey remained to give the Administrator’s report:
    >  Attendance was 662 in the Main Sanctuary.
    >  Offering was $28,281
    >  The annual financial audit is in process.
    >  A discussion was held concerning purchasing a used school bus since Calvary’s current bus is not in good condition. The bus would be used by Transitions Ministry on a weekly basis and also by First Steps for the summer day camp.
    >  A request to rent the Chapel on Sunday evenings was discussed.
    >  Calvary’s recording studio was discussed at length.

Wray Petry made a motion to approve the minutes for 9 January 2012, which was seconded by David Tinker and passed unanimously by the remainder of the Elders.

David Tinker shared some significant thoughts concerning vision and direction, which were discussed at length.

The Elders continued to discuss vision and planning for the future of Calvary.

With no further items, the meeting was adjourned at 7:15PM.
