Dr. Rhoden shared from his heart concerning 3 benedictions
from the New Testament. ‘…To Him, who is able to…’. Look and see what God
can/will do!
The Elders, Pastors J Johnston, John Krall, and Jonathan
Cashman, as well as Debbie Carey and Kari Van Cleave prayed for the needs of
the church.
Debbie
Carey:
> The weekly tithes and offerings
were $28,820.
> Attendance in the main service
was 554 and 643 in total.
> The auditors recommended that the
Elders formally adopt a resolution concerning a racially nondiscriminatory
policy with regards to the students in First Steps Preschool.
> The Assemblies of God General Council
will be held in Orlando this summer (August 5th – 9th at
the Orange County Convention Center).
Jim Norman
made a motion to adopt the following resolution concerning students in First
Steps Preschool and Childcare and the Summer Camp program:
“Be it resolved by the Board of
Elders of Calvary Assembly on this 6th day of May, 2013, that First Steps
does not
discriminate based on race, color, creed or
ethnic origin.”
The resolution
was seconded by Wray Petry and passed unanimously.
With no
further discussions, the meeting ended at 5:59PM.
